Losing As Much Un-Needed Weight Before Ironman

>> Friday, August 10, 2007

Yesterday, I figured that I might as well not carry more weight than I need to for IM. So I decided to get rid of a toenail that I don’t need:

I got home from a 40 mile bike and 5 mile run-off yesterday, and my 2nd toe was sore again. It got a little sore after my 10 mile run earlier this week. It looked fine, though. An hour later, it looked like the above photo. Purple and blue. And SORE. Crap. I’m gonna lose that nail. I hope it doesn’t hurt too much for my 100+ mile ride this weekend.

p.s. Can you tell that when I shaved my body, I left my feet and toes alone? Again, a man has his dignity.

I would have thought that the weight of that hair loss would have been enough. Guess not!! I always heard that triathletes were obsessive. I guess there right.

Are your shoes too short or tight? Or is that fairly normal?

Okay, Toe porn, I lost my toenails in the beginning of the year, haven't grown back fully yet...

I hope you have better luck..

First we saw the detailed photos of you shaving your body and now you provide with a close up of a missing toenail.

I think you may be approaching the too much info point for me at least.

However, in the spirit of providing a compliment as well as my tongue-in-cheek faint hearted critique, I did enjoy your picture of you playing with yourself as you got out of the water.

To truly shave weight, it should have been the big toe. I'm currently without nail on the left one and about to lose the right one!
