An Open Letter To Old Man Winter

>> Thursday, February 11, 2010

Dear Old Man Winter: F*CK YOU.

If there’s one thing I enjoy doing after getting home from classes at 8 pm, it’s climbing on my roof and breaking off icicles and shoveling the extra heavy snow to the ground.

Delicious.

Oh wait, that’s what I DON’T like doing. I almost forgot.

F*ck you, winter.

I realize this is in sharp contrast to my mood regarding winter in my previous post. Leave me alone. It’s my blog. I’ll piss and moan if I want. ;)

I love winter! But I also understand, at some point, I've had enough of it.

We have gotten over 4 feet in two different storms here in MD. I am trying to get a better attitude about it... very tough though.

Oh, I got a new giveaway on my blog... so check it out.

Dude! You need a roof rake. That's dangerous!

Emily 9:07 AM, February 11, 2010

Not gonna lie...those icicles scare me more than a little!

AJ 9:17 AM, February 11, 2010

I concur...no more winter.

B. Kramer 9:24 AM, February 11, 2010

I witnessed an avalanche of roof snow from a neighbor's house while my dog pooped in their yard. You've got some nice icicles there.

Regina 9:45 AM, February 11, 2010

I'm with you after just getting dumped on yesterday. BTW, those are the biggest freakin' icicles I have ever seen!

CoachLiz 10:56 AM, February 11, 2010

You should make a little cage with those icicles and get a picture of you sitting in the cage. That would be a great photo.

OMG Liz! I wish I had thought of that before I threw them all to the ground and shattered them!!...

so I'm guessing you don't want to hear me complain about it being 40 degrees and sunny here in Florida?

I may not have icicles the size of small children to contend with but I agree, it's time for winter to beat it.

I broke up with that bitch winter over a month ago.

Stuart 2:24 PM, February 11, 2010

Should i gloat that it is 10am and 27 degrees in Sydney?

Kathy 5:32 PM, February 11, 2010

If you seriously would like a break from Old Man Winter, come down to the Caribbean. Srsly. We'll put you up. Fly into Cancun and we'll even pick you up. Course, you'll have to deal with the cold here - it was 73F and 77% humidity this am and I was in a sweatshirt and sweatpants. Haven't had the AC on for 3 nights now. Brrrr!

Nat 5:52 PM, February 11, 2010

I HATE YOU WINTER! Steve, this makes me nervous seeing you that close to the edge of the roof. The personal injury paralegal in me is having small heart attacks. Please step away from the edge! Ha! Actually, I was on my roof on Tuesday doing the same thing. Scared the shit out of me though.

Nat 5:53 PM, February 11, 2010

oh and I don't know Kathy, but if you don't take her up on her offer, I will. kathy, I am really nice, I shower and I don't take up much room.

Sarah 9:50 PM, February 11, 2010

I'm game too Kathy. Seriously. And I'm nicer than Nat... who I don't know. But girls are always nicer than boys.

Unknown 2:28 PM, February 12, 2010

what I wouldnt give to have a lil snow in this desert!!

Julie 3:40 PM, February 13, 2010

Holy crap, those are some big flipping icicles!!

sRod 8:26 AM, March 07, 2010

That is some scary m'f'ing ice! And it's all the more scary because you're on that little ledge. So happy I don't have to deal with stuff on that scale!
